Bible

The Scriptures

We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testament, is the inspired and infallible Word of God, written by holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:20-21, Romans 15:4

God

We believe that there is only one true and living God and Father, who is infinite in power, holy in nature, revealed to us as God the Father in creation, God the Son in redemption, and God the Holy Spirit in His grace, that does not leave those who trust in Him.

Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 44:8, II Corinthians, 5:19

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh, born of the Virgin Mary, shed His blood on Calvary in our place, was buried, rose again and ascended to the Father according to the scriptures.

I Timothy 3:16, Colossians 2:9, Matthew 1:21-23

Faith in God

We believe that faith in God and acknowledgment of God and His Word are keys to a life pleasing to God and a prerequisite to receiving salvation.

Hebrews 11:6, Isaiah 43:10, Acts 16:31

Confession of Sin

We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation. We believe that confession of our sins is a prerequisite to receiving salvation. Through confession unto God we acknowledge our sins and our need for a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Romans 3:23,  Psalm 51:3,  I John 3:5, 1:10,  Psalms 32:5,  Proverbs 28:13,  Romans 10:9,  I John 1:9

Repentance of Sin

We believe that repentance is a prerequisite to receiving salvation. Repentance involves a change of heart and mind and a change of direction of one’s life away from sin and a life turned unto God.

Matthew 4:17, Luke 24:45-47,   Acts 2:38, II Peter 3:9

Water Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe that when one repents and receives Jesus Christ as savior through faith, he must be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ just as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19, baptizing in the name of the father, son, and holy ghost, which is Jesus Christ.

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as promised by Jesus Christ to all believers. Believers should expect and earnestly seek the promise. Evidence of the Baptism according to scripture includes  speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, an uncompromising love for Jesus Christ and others, a boldness to witness the testimony of Jesus Christ and an earnest desire to perform Christian service.

Matthew 3:11, Luke 24:49, Acts 1:8, 2:4, 2:38-39,  Acts 19:1-7

Acts 2:38, 8:14-16, 10:44-48,  22:16, Ephesians 4:5

Return of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back again to gather all his saints to Himself to rule and will be visible to all.

Titus 2:13,  Colossians 3:4,  John 14:3,  Daniel 7:13-14,  Acts 1:11

Resurrection & Judgement

We believe in the Resurrection of the Dead and Eternal Judgment. The resurrection will be of both the saved and the lost. They who are saved will be resurrected to eternal life and those who are lost will be resurrected to eternal damnation. Both the saved and the lost will stand before God in judgement.

II Corinthians 5:10, Revelation 20:6,12-15

Communion

We believe that Communion is the celebration of the Lord’s supper, a time of remembrance of what God has done for us, a time of reflection of ourselves that we be not judged and a time of expectation of the future hope  o f glory.

Matthew 26:26-28, Mark 14:17-25, Luke 22:7-22, John 13:21-30, I Corinthians 11:17-34
